Switching between tabs with Control+tab is slow

Yes, it is. I have about 30 tabs opened and switching to last viewed tab takes at least 2 seconds. On windows it is much faster. Actually about 2 seconds is a time to open tab menu on the right. But when continuously switching between 2 tabs I do not need this menu to be opened... I tried to find some flag which could help me but unfortunately seems there is no such magic flag.

I had the same problem but it was fixed after doing this:
Windows defender > device performance and status > apps and software and let that run.
It told me the location of something from my browser had been changed and if i wanted to change it back to standart wich i did.
Worked for me hope it does for you

I had the same gripe about Opera when trying it out. There's two solutions

Enable shortcuts in Advanced settings. The default tab cycle hotkey is 1 (back) and 2 (forward). The flaw in this is that the webpage may also be using number input i.e filling forms, youtube.

You can customise a hotkey! This is what I did and there is a tiny learning curve but it's probably well worth it for a great browser! (I'm still new to it).
