How do I set gmail as the default outgoing mail client in opera next 19? Or is it possible at all? Right now Opera 12.16 will open to send the mail as I still have it installed. Is that the only option for now?

No mail client in 19. Pretty much all the features have been removed, didn't you notice?

I found the answer with a chrome extension check it out at this website:
          https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/send-using-gmail-no-butto/ahldefgplekckalfcolhhnljbbgaiboc

          It works!

              rilef,
I did not know about the "send from Gmail (by Google) extension. That is why I posted this request. I have seen no ads related to the "Send using Gmail (no button)" so I don't know about that. All I know is it works. And, BTW I had installed the "Download Chrome Extensions" and have installed several chrome extensions. I'm getting to like the new Opera. I would like to be able to arrange the speed dials alphabetically from below a point I place the cursor at the time of alphabetizing. But, I expect there is more to come as this is a work in progress. But overall it just works better and faster. The auto filling in of personal data seems to be getting smarter as I use it more and I'm really happy about that. Since I am retired I am always aware of things which will stimulate my brain, like learning a new OS, Linux, Win 8 and new Opera. So for me change like this can be a good thing.

This could be easily solved without the need of an extension if web-mail providers would get their act together.
They could use HTML5 custom protocol and content handlers to give us the option just like My Opera Mail FastMail.fm does.

PS. HTML5 custom protocol and content handlers aren't enabled in Opera 15+ yet.

"HTML5 custom protocol and content handlers aren't enabled in Opera 15+ yet," Are there plans to do this in an upcoming release? I'm on 19. If yes which release? The extension seems to work ok so I am not chomping at the bit to get it.
