Getting "No Internet" when connected to Opera's "VPN". Is Comcast blocking Opera's Proxies?

  • I'm not sure if this is an issue with Opera's proxy servers, the new version of Opera, or my ISP. All of a sudden, any time I'm connected to Opera's "VPN" (really just a secure-ish proxy server), I get the "No Internet" page whenever I try to load a web page.

I did just recently update to the latest Opera, but I believe the proxy servers were working since. I can't be sure.

All I know is that the VPN connection is good according to Opera It's blue, not orange, says I'm connected, and shows an IP. As soon as I turn it off, I can connect to any web page. All other internet connections function, and the Network Preference Pane shows everything is good. As soon as I turn it off, I can browse.

My ISP is Comcast. If they are blocking VPNs, secure proxies, or any other privacy/security related technology, we need to start a revolt.

Can anyone with Comcast/Xfinity check to see if Opera's security features are being blocked?
