Crashing upon opening

When I try to initiate opera using terminal, this message pops up twice: [8856:6659:1010/185448.772881:ERROR:mach_port_broker.mm(175)] Unknown process 8881 is sending Mach IPC messages!

I kept trying to open it the normal way, but it stays open for about 10 sec, then it closes. I downloaded the other version from the posts before, but that doesn't work either. Sorry for the double posts, I didn't see my one from earlier on the forum.

Hello,
I have also had the same problem 3 times, Opera crashing and the icon in the dock was also changing to a generic application icon.
The solution was to download and install Opera again.
The very positive issues are that mostly all settings are retained and that the installation process is smooth and straight forward.
