opera won't open inside Sandbox

The last 3 versions of Opera I have not been able to open it inside a sanbox. This has not been the case for many years so it is unexpected. When I try I will get 2-4 flashes that Opera is trying to open and fails and then nothing. So what to do? It will open outside the sandbox however I do not want to do that. The result is that after 10 years (?) Opera cannot be my default browser.
Is there a solution? -

What sandbox in particular? What OS? What version of Opera? 64-bit or 32-bit? Where are Opera's program files at? Where are its profile files?
