Whatsapp plugin won´t close.

Since I updated this morning there is a problem with my whatsapp plugin.
If I click on it whatsapp opens and works without any problems. If I however click on the website or on the whatsapp plugin again it does not close and stays on top of the website.
The only way I found to trigger it to close is by going to another application and then going back to opera.
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I also updated this morning (Opera 55.0.2994.37) and am facing the same problem. I am closing the whatsapp window with the ctrl+shift+m shortcut. Kubuntu 18.04.
Also after this update my Opera's window decoration is not respecting my System Settings for window decorations anymore.

Same problem here, using Kubuntu 18.04 LTS, the sidebar won't close, only workaround is minimize and then restore opera.

Noticed the same issue with latest update to Opera v55.0.2994.37 on Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon (all updates installed). Was working fine in all previous Opera versions - ie. could click outside Whatsapp or on the Whatsapp icon to close the sidebar.

Same problem here. Affects both WhatsApp and Messenger. Devs: can you guys issue a fix please?
Until then, a workaround is pressing Ctrl+Shift+M to close the app window.

Same here, super annoing.
Opera 55.0.2994.37 on KDE neon User Edition 5.13 (x86_64; KDE)
