Daily changes without my ability to choose them

I've used opera for may years and I've loved the consistent simplicity. As of late I turn my computer on and there's been changes...some rather drastic which to fix takes a great deal if time! Not a happy camper!. For example the speed dial which I use alot. I always recognized the images that go with the websites. Wake up one morning and all the images were replaces by colored boxes. Not happy it makes them all blend together and is more challenging to find the one I want. Why mess with something that was awesome! Today I can barely read the print under the speed dial icons. Why are you forcing these awful changes on us! Please make such changes optional.
