Clean Slate - Opera Portable

Hello, I started opera portable this morning and all had gone: bookmarks, extensions, history, passwords ... What happened? There is "old_profile" in the directory - how can I activate it? Thank you for your support in advance.

I've never seen that happen, but you could try renaming "profile" to something and then naming "old_profile" to "profile". Then, when you start Opera, see if it works or creates an "old_profile" folder again.
If Opera creates "old_profile" again, maybe there's something wrong with the "Preferences",Secure Preferences" or "Local State" files in it and Opera's doing it on purpose.
What's in the "old_profile" folder?

Thank you for your answer. Sorry, it's "Old_status" and the file is named "installation_status.json.1530515971". It is 2 weeks old.
There are some more LOG.old files from today. Their size is 1KB. The browser updated after the "Clean slate" start. So they could be from then. The update didn't lead to a recovery. -

@crisply old_status is expected to be there and probably has nothing to do with the issue.
When you start Opera and goto
opera://about
, is the "profile" path correct? As in, does it point to the "profile/data" folder inside the portable installation folder? If so, then maybe the Preferences file got corrupted or something.Try opening the Bookmarks file in a text editor to see if all your bookmarks are still there at least. Look in the "extensions" folder too to see if you still have a bunch of folders for all your extensions.

@burnout426 The path is correct and the files are showing the contents of a completely new installed browser. It seems like all preferences have gone. I could save most of the bookmarks by synchronizing w/ my mobile device. Thank you again. This is somehow mysterious as I know & appreciate Opera as a very reliable Software.
