Embedded tweets don't display properly on desktop

  • Version information
Version: 53.0.2907.37 - Opera is up to date
    Update stream: Stable
    System: Mac OS X 10.13.3 64-bit
    Browser identification
    Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_3) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.139 Safari/537.36 OPR/53.0.2907.37

This is seriously blocking me from seriously considering Opera as my browser across almost all devices I have. In desktop, embedded tweets display like this:

    alt text

This is the same thing in Safari:

    alt text

I don't have this problem in Chrome (desktop, chromebook, mobile), Vivaldi, Firefox (desktop, mobile) or Opera Mobile when I have third party cookies enabled. I currently have ad-blocking disabled and third party cookies enabled on desktop, but embedded tweets still don't display correctly.

I am having the same issue in the Developer Edition.

Neither Google nor a forum search has given me anything specific to Opera. Can anyone help?

  • Update: Same issues happened in a clean install on Linux.
