New links replacing previous window instead of opening a new window after update

I have been using Opera for years for work because a link on my company's website would open a new window. Then I could open another link and it would open in a new window. I would end up with 5 or 6 windows open at a time that I need to remain open in order to get information from each of them. Now whenever I click on a new link, it opens in the window that is already being used for the last link. That makes it impossible for me to use this browser anymore for work. How do I fix this?

You can open a new tab instead by middle-clicking. That might be just as useful.
