Youtube won't work on Opera

Hello everyone.
I'm having some problems with opening Youtube on Opera. It doesn't load any images, it's just stuck on this grey screen (see the image below). I can watch videos with a direct link (such as searching for a video on Google), but I can't interact with comments, suggested videos etc.
It's not a problem with Youtube or Google, because I tried going on Youtube in Internet Explorer (yes, I'm that desperate), and it worked just fine.

try disabling hosts file

Download the Opera installer, launch it, click "options", set "install path" to a folder on your desktop, set "install for" to "standalone installation" and install. Does it at least work fine in that test Opera?
