Pls help
All the sudden not able to connect to the Internet with Opera, or even re-install Opera. The browser's been working well all day, I manually checked for an update and then no connection.Going to Menu > About Opera, returns: "Version: 52.0.2871.64 - An error occurred while checking for updates"
Update stream: Stable System: Windows 7 64-bit (WoW64)Chrome is working well. So are FF, and IE.
My system: Windows 7 Ultimate, SP 1, 64-bit,Troubleshooting thus far:
Manually re-installed - Wouldn't reinstall at all. (restarted, tried again)
Uninstalled, restarted, tried to reinstall (several times)
Rebooted the modem and router (hardwired)
Manually deleted the AppData folders for Opera, restarted, and it wouldn't reinstall.Turned off Avria AV, ran CCleaner and reg. fixer with CCleaner, Checked Windows 7 firewall, unchecked Opera (to disallow), closed Windows firewall, reopened and added Opera back to allow for all the Windows firewall.
No AV or other firewalls are used, and no proxy/VPN, etc. just a home broadband connection.Still no connection or able to reinstall.
Check the browser proxy settings - Set to auto-detect. Checked to use a proxy, restarted the browser, then changed back to auto-detect.
Ran Malwarebytes, CCleaner on the reg. again.
Ran CMD, sfc /scannow (Windows System file Checker tool), good result - did not find any integrity violations.Opera is still not working, nor installing.
Does anyone have some ideas ? Thx!! A

I am getting the same error message on update and Opera Browser will not browse. Update fails with same error message. FF and IE are working fine.
I am Windows 7, SP 1, 64 bit.
