Playing Video in Opera 12.16 stops the ability to type within the browser

Every time I watch a video online -generally one with controls- from whatever sites, including YouTube, Opera no longer allows me to use it's controls; I'm unable to grab & use the scroll bar, can't type in forums or search box or anywhere else on the page. Does anyone else have this problem or know of a solution? Thanks

Win7 x64(Could it be related to Internet Download Manager? Perhaps the small download panel that pops up if you're running video within the browser, whether you've got IDM open in the tray or not?)
