Unrequested bookmark added to my speed dial

When I opened Opera this morning I had spam/advertisements from a site I have never seen in my life in my speed dial.
It seems that this is a "feature": https://forums.opera.com/topic/14034/unrequested-bookmark-added-to-my-speed-dial
Is there any way to completely disable this? Otherwise it's sad, I have just started to like this browser but getting unsolicited ads in my browser is cancer of the highest order.
