Can't open photos in Opera mail?

After choosing to use the Photos app in Windows 10 to open photos in Opera Mail I can't open them and get the following error:
the code execution cannot proceed because sharedlibrary.dll was not found
Any idea how to fix this? Currently the only way for me to view pictures in emails is to save them to my computer first and then open them - quite inconvenient. Thanks.

@dingobingo Not sure, but it seems to be an issue with .NET native apps / Windows Store apps (which I think Photos kind of is). There might be some info here.
If all else fails, you'd probably need a fresh install of Windows 10 to fix it.
