Cookies not deleted

I have my settings at: "Keep local data only until I quit my browser". However, when I close Opera and then reopen it, all the browsing data and cookies are still there. Why are the cookies and site data not deleted when I close Opera?

@eryops The option 'Keep local data only until I quit my browser' will only delete local cookies when you close the browser. You need to delete all data from the History menu.
Go to: Menu - History - Clear browsing data (Ctrl-Shift-Del). Tick all of the options and in the dropdown select 'the beginning of time'. After, scroll down to cookies and check 'All cookies and site data' - your cookies should have gone. All other data will have been deleted also. Just in case any local cookies remain, close and reopen Opera and check for cookies again.

@cozza Thanks. So there's no way of having all site data and history deleted automatically when Opera closes? I know how to do it manually, just surprised that "delete everything on close" isn't an option.

@eryops Firefox and IE have an option to delete all site data when the browser is closed. Not sure any version of Opera ever had this feature. I'd love it if Opera offered it though.

I'm experiencing the same issue.
"Keep local data only until I quit my browser" doesn't remove any cookies when I close and re-open.
