I wondered if in Opera 18 there is a way to browse your cache as in Opera 12, by typing opera:cache? This feature doesn't seem to work in this release. Is there another way to access the cache files?

Not anymore, I'm afraid. This useful in-browser feature, like many others, has been abandoned in Opera Blink.

As partial substitute, try the tiny ChromeCacheView utility from NirSoft:
        http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/chrome_cache_view.html

When specifying the path to the cache directory, don't forget to add \cache at the end, like so:

        C:\Users\ExampleUser\AppData\Local\Opera Software\Opera Next\Cache

There are other utilities at this site you may find useful, e.g. for getting video files from web sites.

Thanks for the reply. I was afraid of that. For now, I'll use an earlier edition of Opera (v. 12) for cache viewing and may need to look into the other solution you linked to when that browser begins to fail.
