Invisible Input on IPad Air.....

Since the fall of 2017 there has been a problem using Opera on my IPad Ait, after an update. It does not happen 100% of the time but at least 95% of the time. When input is entered on a page, such as Google, it is as if nothing was typed. It spaces over but nothing is there. I've contacted Opera numerous times but with no response. I can type a different page to go to on the address bar but I can't type on any page itself. Is there anyone else having this problem? I've had friends telling me their experiences with the same problem.

I'm guessing nobody else is having this problem or at least doesn't know how to fix it. I'm now wondering if I remove the app from my IPad Air and then reinstall it, if that will make a difference. If I do that, I want it to be a clean install and not a reinstall since I've already had it installed before. Any Ideas?
