Disable access to local drives ?

So I've downloaded the latest Opera release for my users but cant seem to find anyway to restrict users from accessing the local drive(s). I want the users to be able to only open URL's rather than navgate the C:\ drive and below. Any ideas ?

I'm not sure you can do that with any browser, as anyone can put file:/// followed by a path into the address bar.
What you would probably need to do is to block any url begining that way, but I'm not sure now you would do that, unless there's a Chromium flag I'm not aware of.

you can't. with that said i suggest the following:
create a second profile just for them.
password protect you profile.
in there profile remove the drive letters for all drives / partitions except for c.
google how to lock them out of any settings, so they can't ad drive letters back -

Unfortunately the OP wants to block the C: drive as well!
I don't know what OS we're talking about, but presumably a recent version of Windows.
Presumably he's locked out users from using Windows Explorer to access the drives, maybe that will stop browsers as well, I don't know.

he should be able to limit which folders can be used on c as well or set it up to revert back to it's original state when the user logs off. i suggest the op either goes to sevenforums, eightforums, or tenforums depending with os he's using and ask them.
