Nothing is "safe" to use for banking these days. Some things are "safer" than others. -

Thank you s390g2 for your reply, you are of course right, nothing is safe now days, I should have said is it safer than say Avast Safezone or Bit Defender.

I think those two are more in the realm of malware protection. But a vpn usually provides an encrypted tunnel. If you can use both 1 antimalware and a vpn simultaneously, that is the safest. Bitdefender seems to be well-regarded for antimalware. The opera vpn has been around for quite awhile.
