Browser search engine problems

Whenever the google browser is used in opera, it sends me to google.nl instead of where I want it. I tried to edit the browser settings in the "Manage browser settings" in Opera but it does not let you change, add, or edit when it comes to the google search. I can add another one but that doesn't stop the browser from going to google.nl within other searches. Does anyone know how to edit the files to fix the defaults? I would like to set all the google searches to google.ca/ncr so that it does not re-direct to other countries.
