Version 8: very slow and UI takes away lots of space

I'm using an LG T385, which is a touchscreen feature phone.
I installed the new Opera Mini version and noticed it's a lot more slower than the older one. Not that the response time of the older was any good, but now it's quite unusable, especially the onscreen keyboard. I press a key and it feels like an eternity until the letter appears. Same goes for buttons in the options and even scrolling up and down with a swipe motion, everything reacts with a delay. The built-in browser of my mobile phone isn't perfect either, but faster.
What else bothers me is the user interface:
- I really don't need to be reminded that I'm using Opera Mini, get rid of that title bar. I takes away some vertical pixels, which on my phone with a low resolution would come in handy to display more of the websites.
- Why are there an address and a search bar, if I can also search by typing into the address bar? Get rid of the search bar. That way you could move the bottom control buttons up next to it.
