VPN Private Window Crashes Opera Frequently

Since the latest update that added the black url bar in the private window (49.0.2725.47) Using the VPN in a private window and changing location a few times crashes Opera completely on a frequent basis now. Up to this point I've never had Opera crash. Windows 8.1.

it's not just in private window. i've had opera crash 3 times in the last 2 days and each time i was turning on or changing the vpn location.
