Opera now downloads standalone *.SWF files instead of playing them...

Hi. Until about a week ago when I left-clicked on a link to a Flash file (*.SWF) the browser would display it in the page, scaled to the size of the page. In fact I had my computer set to open local Flash files with Opera, which was working fine -- until today.
If a Flash file is embedded in a web page it still plays, so the plugin seems to be working. But a standalone SWF link now opens the "Save as..." window and I have to locally play it in the Adobe Flash Player. Why did this change? I'm using version 49.0.2725.39 as of writing this. How do you tell this version how to handle different MIME file types anyway?

See this thread. It's due to new restrictions with Flash in Chromium-based browsers. You can downgrade to Opera 48 for now to work around it.
