Opera 50.0 ceased searching through address bar as of today

Until yesterday when I typed words in the address bar and hit enter, the browser automatically searched in Google for the entered words. For instance, if I wanted to search for "Opera download", I just used to enter that in the address bar, hit enter and the Google results were displayed. Idk what happened today but now when I type anything in the address bar, nothing happens. How do I reenable google search by typing words in the address bar? I don't want to have to enable the google bar that appears next to the address bar.
On top of that one extension (just one) keeps disabling itself when I close the browser and open it again.

Try reinstalling upon your current installation using the offline installer.
