[Opera Mail]Adding an Image to Signature

I want to add my company's logo to my signature for my business email account. The logo is uploaded to Drop Box and I have the link. I added it to the signature editor but it doesn't show. I came to the forum and read that I should add it with HTML to the signaturetxt2 file in the mail folder. I did that. Now when look in the signature editor it has a box after my signaure that says 'image'. I sent a test email to two personal accounts i have and the image doesn't show.

Anyone have a clue what's going on and how I can accomplish this?

In the Outgoing tab in the account properties, edit the signature and switch it to HTML mode. Type in "test" and save the signature and close Opera.

Then edit the signature file. In it, replace "test" with:

<img src="link to pic">

and save.

That should work.

If it doesn't, close down Opera Mail and edit operaprefs.ini. See "Menu -> settings -> About Opera Mail" for the location. Under [User Prefs] add/set:

Suppress External Embeds=0

Just note that the receive client will have to allow remote images to see it.

Another way to do it is to use https://software.hixie.ch/utilities/cgi/data/data to generate a data URI for the image. Then you can use that in src=. That way the image is embedded in the HTML markup in the email. The downside to this is that not all clients support loading data URIs.
