Hi I Just upgraded my opera from 47 to 48 and i noticed VPN doesn't connect anymore i completely uninstalled opera and reinstalled again it didn't work and it shows Vpn is temporarily unavailable
and also I Live In Iran which internet is largely censored older versions worked perfectly (I reinstalled the older version to confirm it) but after the upgrade is not working anymore
thanks in advance -

Are you sure your country isn't just censoring the connection to the VPN? The IP addresses aren't really a secret, if many people in your country use it to overcome censoring, then a logical step would be to just block these addresses.

@thunderlad (and others): It's probably wisest not to be too specific about locales in the future. Nation names are too easy to pick up via web crawlers and link to traffic/user-names, and "the walls have ears". It's usually enough to indicate one lives in a censored state, and leave it at that.

@chuchkyschild do you Live in Iran Too?
alright keep the smartass comments yourself. i noticed a few weeks ago when i check my ip(which i do every few days)it is what my real ip is. not buying the isp or the gov blocking it, at least here in the states.

@thunderlad I
ve noticed that VPN doesn
t work automatically when you turn it on in Opera - you have to turn it on and restart browser. Maybe this is the issue. Also it is a good idea to install an add-on My IP Adress - it shows You your current in-browser IP in a quick launch tab as an icon.
Sorry if it doesnt help - I
m lame here and this is just my observation. -

don't need a extension to show you your ip, just google or use whatever search engine you;re allowed to use.
