Wishlist Features for Coast

I made a discovery in Coast. When you close the tabs manually, all of the tiles seem to revert to their home position. So all I would want is a button for closing the tabs, (either for this feature, or as part of a context menu, that would include the ability to close all the tabs with one click).
What I am looking for is a choice -- either to scroll through the open tabs and close them individually, or be able through one click to close them all at once, which action would return all the tiles to their home position). Sometimes I may prefer the manual close of each open tab, other times I would prefer to close them all in one fell swoop with a click.

When you highlight a word, the only option you get is "copy." I think it would be great if Coast has what the Mercury browser has, four options -- "copy," "define," "translate" and "search.". For translate, when you highlight a word, your are taken immediately to the Google translate page for the language in question, with the selected word put in the translation box, and the definition provided. The "search" choice might take you to Google. Another option would be to permit opening a window to Google or the Wikepedia of the language being translated, ex. for French, Wikipédia. the Dolphin browser has three choices, "copy," "define,"and "share." If you highlight a word in the Dolphin browser, the software seems to recognize the language it is in, and offers a definition or translation in English. That would be an alternative approach.

Thanks for suggesting all this, we're definetely considering your suggestions but can't promise anything
Suggestion 1: the recent sites are not really "open sites" / tabs. It's a mix of open sites and close sites that were recently navigated to, similar to iOS 7 when you double tap the home screen button and you see all the open apps. In iOS 7 some of those have been terminated by iOS to save memory and we're doing the same. So closing all pages doesn't make that much sense, it would be very similar to delete all browsing data, which you can already do in the Settings.app.
As for your suggestion number 4, it sounds like a bug, so it would be nice if you could report it over at bugs.opera.com/wizard/coast/ .
Suggestion 5: we are saving all the tiles in iCloud. It sounds like actually were hit by a bug on your iPod, either in the iCloud syncing or something else...

Hi. Im an avid user of opera mini for a long time. Unfortunately ever since ios 7 came along, there were no news of any sort of development and the app tends to crash and have bugs. When Coast came along, I found it to be a very powerful browser even though it might look nothing much at first sight. I hope that Coast can integrate the technologies such as data compression from Opera Mini ( which I find it to be the best for iOS till today, file download, loading animation instead of just a blinking icon (cause not sure if the site I want to go is loading or not) and other technologies from products such as Opera Mini and even the Desktop Opera Browser. I really hope you would take these suggestions and wish all the best to the Opera Team.

Thanks on my point no. 1. I just didn't understand.
Now I see in the Setting: app that I can just set "clear browsing data on relaunch," and everything can be cleared. So there's no need to try to close everything. It sounds like the the mix you talk about is up to 7 open sites and the rest closed, and it's no big deal if it piles up because when I exit the browser with the setting I have just made, all the housekeeping is done -- everything cleared on relaunch.On suggestion 5, I did file a bug report. I think I'll wait until the ipod Coast is udpated. I'm afraid to install it again for fear it will knock out again my Coast for Ipad tiles. I have about 45. Now you say they're in iCloud. If the Ipod were to knock out again my Coast tiles and replace them with junk) so to speak, from my perspective ;)) as it did when I tried Coast for Ipod, then the new replacement tiles would be in the cloud -- the bad ones. I'm not sure what I would do to recover the tiles I had. I don't see in Settings:app anything about recovering from the cloud, or syncing with the cloud, going back in time -- like a system restore. On desktop, you can save your profile. Here I'm not sure how to preserve tiles I have and like, once they have been changed by an adverse computer event -- such as the ipod thing.

On point no. I just noticed something on Settings:app feature. I would like Coast to always clear browsing data when you exit, and then relaunch. But in Settings, you can mark clear, but it only seems to work once. The switch then seems to return to a default (no clear) position. At least when I returned it was back to "no clear." So it would appear you have to go back "every" time you want to clear. And going to settings to do this is harder (may require scrolling through a number of screens and more on the Ipad) than if there were just a button on Coast that let you clear before you exit. So I still think, although the Settings:app feature is definitely a plus and helps, a "clear" button on the Ipad would be useful. It could be in a button, that gives you a context menu with a number of other items, one of which is to instantly clear Coast of tabs, open and closed. (Instead of having to scroll through a number of screens to get to the Settings, and more, you can do it more quickly and easily in Coast itself). (If you could have set the Settings:App feature to always empty cache when you exit, then the feature I'm suggesting would be unnecessary).

Also when I search on a desktop browser I like to open multiple results in separate tabs. It's a quick and easy way to scan through several pages. All I seem to be able to do in Coast is open 1 page at a time. Some way of opening links within web pages to a separate page would be great.
