Vertical black bar after opening Messenger, WhatsApp or Telegram

When opening the WhatsApp, Messenger or Telegram on the side bar, there is a big vertical black bar at the side of the window. Clicking on it makes the WhatsApp window close.
This problem is not present on Opera Stable now, but I can see the black bar for a few moments when the window is growing to right, then the window grows until it covers the black parts.
Apparently, the chat window should occupy that space on Developer version but it is not at the moment.
This can be seen in the following screenshot:
OS: Xubuntu 17.04 (x86_64; XFCE)
Graphics card: Intel HD Graphics 520

This problem was solved with the version 49.0.2705.0, but now with version 49.0.2723.0 the bug is back. Or the bug was corrected accidentally in 49.0.2705.0 or a regression happened.
