Tweak Opera to disable the vertical transparent-to-white gradient at the top of theme image

All themes in Opera have a vertical transparent-to-white gradient at the top to make the top buttons "Speed Dial, Stash, Discover" more visible on lighter background.
I don't really use these buttons anyway.
I do not use Speed Dial too, so I keep it empty.
I also removed the Speed Dial search field thanks to the opera:flags setting.
The gradient at the top ruins my perception of the theme backgrund image and I want to remove the gradient too.I looked around the profile directory and didn't find a way to do that.
I imagined there might be a user CSS I could tweak, but I don't seem to find such file. Can someone give me a further hint how can I accomplish this?
