There is an elegant way to install and run Opera for Android or Opera Mini on Chromebooks or in Chrome OS. There is neat and covenient installer called ARC Welder from the Chrome Shop to get the Operas running in Chrome OS by using Google's own App Runtime for Chrome (ARC).
- First of all, before installing Opera in Chromebook you need to install ARC welder on your Chromebook.
- To install ARC welder, go to the official site and click on add to Chromebook.
- In few seconds, it’ll get installed properly.
- After that open the ARC welder and type Opera in the search bar. The results will let you download the Opera on Chromebook.

ARC Welder is basically an extension for the Chrome Browser permitting to run Android apps on any host system, which would also allow the use of O4A or OMini under Windows (from XP to 10), macOS or Linux from within the Chrome browser.
Sadly this seems to depend on proprietary Google code, so not working with Chromium/Opera etc.
