[Solved]Opera Beta removed start page max columns

  • I like the new beta. It loads fast and streams videos without pausing or buffering as the stable may at times. But it seems there is no longer any way to control the speed dial columns. I have the stable set up so I do not have to scroll down to get at all my dials. With the beta I seem to be limited to 5 columns of thumbnails that are way wider than they need to be. Is there maybe an .ini file or chrome setting to set the max columns? A max of 8 worked great for me.

The funny thing is I installed the beta on HD and just copied over from the stable to get my dials. This last time I installed the beta on USB and did the sync to get bookmarks and dials. The only way to get the dials was to delete the ones the installer wanted and paste in from "other speed dials." But I am still stuck with way too many rows forcing me to scroll down.

Edit: Ok, if I check "show advanced settings" it shows that the max columns it set to 8. But the setting has no effect. Even if I maximize the browser I get 5 columns and that is that. There is got to be some way to make the thumbnails smaller.

Edit2: Never mind. :) I forgot about Control +/- on the dial page. I found it again while searching. Feel free to delete this post. :)
