Transferring bookmarks from Safari

I have a MBP and use Safari as my primary browser. I also have Chrome and Firefox, and have decided to give Opera a try. In Safari, on my bookmarks tool bar I have individual links as well as folders with links and a folder named ATR (all the rest) with a couple of dozen nested folders with nested links. Essentially everything is on the tool bar. I tried copying a couple of the folders and pasting into the Opera toolbar and that worked, but I can't get the folders with nested folders to do the same. Is there a way to do this? Is there a way to drag and drop from the Safari entry in Opera to the toolbar? Any suggestions or ideas. Thanks.

Welcome to Opera's forum @Ephraimtutt!
Did you tried to do the same but to copy them to "My Bookmarks" and then move the folders to the Bookmarks toolbar?

You can export Safari's bookmarks as HTML, and import them into Opera. I did that, but with SeaMonkey's bookmarks. You would have to redo the bookmarks toolbar from the HTML copy.
