Youtube and other videos lock up Opera

I have 2 GB of Ram and a single processor pc Windows 7. When trying to watch a video on youtube, or others, it's as if the OS is tied up buffering ahead so far that all other processes stop, including Opera. If I click on the screen to pause the video, it doesn't stop. Eventually I can get Opera to be totally locked up. Task manager shows idle 90%, Opera 0% and still locked.
Are there settings I should have to optimize Opera better? -

Single processor or single core processor ?. Oh, and what version of Opera are you using (12.16, judging by your sig) ?.
An idea of what graphics card you have in your machine may help too.

Thanks for the reply. Opera version is what it says.
Control panel states Intel Celeron cpu 900 @ 2.2GHz. What's the diff between processor and core processor?
Looking at device manager, I don't see anything that says graphics card.
i do have "Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family" but not sure if that's what you want to see.
Thanks-Pat W
