Do you save on your data usage with Opera for windows like you do with Opera for Android and Opera mini 4.5 mobile apps?

Yes, but you have to enable 'Off-road' mode (Opera 15+ Blink engine) or 'Opera Turbo' (Opera 12.16 or older Presto engine) found in the menu, first, before you will see any data saving benefits.
