Adobe Reader plugin not recognised & not working...

Has anyone else had this problem?
I can use a pdf viewer from the Extensions but it does not provide .doc file previews in Dropbox which is what I need.
The plugin does not appear in the Plugin list in Opera. It is installed in the Library as detailed on Opera help pages.
-Opera 20 on Mavericks.
-Latest Adobe Reader installed.
-Opera & Reader reinstalled.
-Computer restarted, etc.
-Tried Chrome, Safari, Firefox – all work without a problem (full PDF & Dropbox preview functionality).
Any suggestions?
I would have thought that Opera could easily port Chrome's PDF reader...

You can try to use this extension to open pdf files:

This has been covered extensively on the Adobe forums - it's an issue with the new Adobe Flash and (from their reporting) older macs. They recommend uninstalling 13 and reinstalling 12 (Adobe Flash) but they say they have worked on a fix which should be coming out in the next few days. Damned annoying though!!!

Opera will not download or open a link to a pdf on websites. It opens a new blank tab but that is all. Maverick installed with all updates and Opera is version 20. Anyone know of a solution? Thanks.
