How to repeat search without retyping?

Is there a way to recall previous search term in address bar of Opera 20 for Windows?
If I type a search text in address bar and hit Enter, address bar shows URL of search result page. If then I want to repeat the same search with different search provider I have to retype the text again. Not very user-friendly...

Cut and paste is about the best option.
If the search string is on the page, you can select it then right-click, search with, close that page, and repeat with another search engine, etc.

Alt+Enter will open the search in a new tab, so you can go back to the previous tab and edit the previous search term and/or switch to another search engine.
What's missing is DNA-8233 or DNA-11336 Shift + Alt + Enter (or a similar command, but requiring a reshuffle of the keyboard shortcuts) so you can open the searches in a background tab, which would make things easier.
