Importing bookmarks from Opera 12

Getting rired of all the other alternates I've tried, I decided to import my bookmarks into 0pera Next (21) by importing my FF bookmarks into O12, and then try importing into O21 through the bookmark importer (Opera/More Tools/Bookmark importer). I would have tried this before, but it was always greyed out and I read that it only works with old Opera bookmarks. Well I created some bookmarks for Opera 12, but in Opera 21 it still is greyed out.
What can I do to import these bookmarks from O12? Opera's bookmark manager extension just doesn't cut it.
