Weird "Downloads" manager list freezing bug

I faced a weird freezing bug on the new download manager.
Everytime I clicked on "Downloads", Opera Mini froze for more than 10 seconds before opening. Also when i close "Downloads", it freezes for >10s and finally returns to main opera screen, same freezing issue when I open (Non exited) minimized Opera Mini while it is in the "Downloads" screen.
Every new update didn't solve the issue (i had sent a bug report). Finally I solved it yesterday:
I cleared completed downloads and bizarrely a download notification for everything I had downloaded (many) popped up one by one, each lingered for a while and vanished automatically after a few seconds (every successive notification lingered for lesser and lesser amt of time). Opera Mini froze for a long time and after every notification has popped up and disappeared, the Downloads was cleared and the freezing issue was gone too. Opera M no longer hangs if i open or close "Downloads"
