Chances are Opera will enjoy an increase in popularity, after seeing Brendan Eich forced to resign from Mozilla due to pressure from intolerant and queer thugs.
I'm trying Opera Next, but not sure if I will get used to the reduced add-on possibilities. And I'm going to replace Thunderbird with eM Client, or does Opera have a good stand-alone email client?

Eich's really dumb. He is now a lame duck. He should stay because hate and anger against marginal groups is a good US attitude. Yes, these marginal groups are very intolerant, they dont like opression. Well i like these fearful Heteros.
But why are you crying about poor Brendan? Do you love him so much? Are you on of his addicts or religious followers?

No, Opera can not compete with Mail clients like Thunderbird. Opera Mail has less features and (very old fashioned) no sign/encryption function.
