How to import email from thunderbird into opera mail?

Opera mail does not seem to inport any messages.
I get to the import screen and select 'thunderbird' > prefs.js file. Displays the mailfolders. Then I select a .msf file and import to local folder.

Click 'next' and nothing happens:

nothing gets imported.
I also tried the files without the .msf extension, and the folders. nothing.
I read the help pages but nothing precifically about thunderbird.Maybe I am overlooking something?

Skip the import wizard. It's goofy. See https://www.reddit.com/r/operabrowser/wiki/m2tips/import_from_thunderbird instead.
