No internet connection upon connecting Opera VPN

I can't access anything at all upon successful connection of Opera VPN. The page keeps loading and no data is pulled from internet, it keeps showing 0kb/s in download speed. When i turn off the VPN, everything works fine.
I'm using Huawei Honor 3C with custom ROM on Android 6.0.1 and version 1.0.1 of Opera VPN.
Plz provide me with a solution. Thanks.

I believe it's a matter of your country and not of Opera.

Other VPN services work flawlessly, but i want to use this one

just ask your government nicely to unblock Opera's IP adress blocks. I am absolutely positive that they will gladly and speedily fulfill your request </sarc>
