      Hi Friends,

I would like to know how to automatically activate a new tab in Opera 40 ??

It seems that the menu has changed compared with the previous versions of Opera, and I do not find the Tab menu...

      Thanks

There's three ways I'm aware of.

Press the + symbol in the tab bar at the top

Right-click on the tab bar and select 'New tab'

Or press CTRL+T on your keyboard

        EDIT

Make that four, if you press the 'Menu' button in the upper left-hand corner and select 'New tab'.

I forgot about that one while making the list.

          My question is different:

When I right click on a link and select "open in a new Tab", I would like Opera to automatically go to the new tab, instead of staying on the original tab (this obliges you to go to click on the new tab to display it).

          Thanks for your replies,

Hold down Shift and Middle Click the link. This opens it in a new tab and makes that tab the focus.

Ah, gotcha. I misunderstood what you were asking.
