On-screen keyboard flashes up when I touch addressbar etc

When I touch-click on any searchbar or similar area, the onscreen touch keyboard flashes up. My computer is a Pendo 360 laptop, but this happens even when it is not in tablet mode. If I click with the mouse the keyboard does not appear.
I can see why this would be a useful feature for people with tablets, but I prefer to use the real keyboard. Is there anyway I can turn this feature off, or only use it in tablet mode? I have just started using Opera and I don't want to have to go back to firefox but it's super distracting...
