When are you going to Trash the worthless Stash" and install a real Bookmarks System, Manager and Sync! Defying reasoning and logic to be different for the sake of being different, IS IDIOCY! Without a legitimate Bookmark system, Opera will never be mine or many others, Default Browser.

Remember Ignorance can be corrected. Speed Dial is great in a Mobile Browser, but on a Desktop Browser, I want and need to have a Home Page and a Homepage Button in the toolbar. Remember... "CHOICE" let me choose. Death to Idiocy, Dictators, Automatons, Oligarchies and Fascism!

If you don't want to use Stash - Don't. It's really that simple. I have no issues with Stash and it's a unique feature for Opera. One does not need to use every feature on the browser. Many did not use the integrated email client on the older Presto Opera and simply ignored it rather than complained that it should be trashed. Stash really is not meant as a bookmark manager. Think of it as a handy "read later" feature.

Are people trying to bombard these forums with their complaints about the lack of Bookmarks manager as if this will make Opera implement it asap? They will be working on one, when, I don't know but it seems pointless posting the same subject over and over again.

Indeed. I think it's more indicative of an immature personality than anything else. The devs are working to bring us the best possible browser with unique features but it's going to take time being a complete rewrite from scratch. And it's all freely given but evidently that is still not enough for these people.

I find the stash really useful for... Stashing stuff I want to look up later. The browser has a working bookmark system. It would be cool to have the features of Opera 12, but right now the system is on par with what other browsers offer. And combined with the stash and the speed dial with folders it is actually a lot better.

I can only agree with you.
Having been using and following Opera browser since the days when you had to pay for it, I don't recall the dumbed down masses ever demanding on Opera forums that bookmark functionality be removed from earlier versions. If you don't use bookmarks, that's fine, bookmark functionality never got in your way, if however you did use bookmarks, Opera Browser has now been rendered borderline useless. It's all quite frustrating if it was the wide ranging and comprehensive functionality of Opera that made you a long term user in the first place.
For now I'm going to leave Opera to it's new target audience, the undemanding user, with simple and casual browsing needs.

I prefer stash over bookmarks, I use Stash as bookmarks. It is a unique feature of Opera as Leushino said.

I could find Stash useful if it was in a sidebar and available in any tab, but as it is I find it pretty redundant. Unique features are great and what made Opera what it was, but unless the features 'flow' in browser use they lose their edge. For me it seems so half-hearted but for those who can make it work all well and good I guess.
