I have been having this issue both on twitter and other sites, I get a message that says "This browser does not support video playback" An example can be found at https://twitter.com/skunkarific
Running Mint 13 x 64. Works fine on 18 x 64. Already have chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra installed.
Any ideas?

As you can see on this page, the version in Linux mint 13 (Ubuntu 12.04) is an older version than in the later releases. I guess the codec contained in that version isn't supported anymore. Upgrade Linux mint, or try to manually download and install the newer package from the site above.

Perfect! I used the 14.04 package located at http://packages.ubuntu.com/trusty/chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra
instead of the 12.04 I'm running. It did break the chromium browser package, but I don't use that anyway.
