      Hi there,

      I did Google the solution for this but the methods shown are no longer relevant. I'm trying to get into the settings to change the Opera cache location as I don't want it on my SSD. I looked through the settings but still can't see any options for it, does anyone know please?

      Thanks

        Add the option to the launcher's command line:
        "....\launcher.exe" --disk-cache-dir=path
        where path is where you want to store the Cache folder. It may be empty, Opera will create its contents.

          That's useful, as I use a RAM drive. (Previously used for Firefox cache)

            Hi there,

            Thanks for the information but it still doesn't seem to work. This is what I have in the launcher:

            --disk-cache-dir"d:\cache" --disk-cache-size=304857600

            The drive I want the cache to go to is D:\ with around 300MB max to use, please can you advise? Many thanks

              @jack9122:
              --disk-cache-dir=d:\cache

              You might also want to make the size limit lower, because when a disk runs low of free space, Windows shows annoying notifications. Alternatively, you can disable those notifications, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555622.

                Many thanks for the help DVK, got it working and will use this in the mean time! If only you could set cache settings through the browsers GUI leaving out things like this.
