VPN errors

Good day. I have found several accounts of VPN not working at all, never connecting etc. but
the problem I have is this:

VPN does appear to connect but kills internet. No site can be reached or I get a simple text error "unauthorized access" in the browser.

This happens on one computer only and I get a good connection on others. This started without any warning and had been working fine...until it didn't.

I have tried several locations. All appear to connect giving me the blue connenct icon but then cannot access internet.

I have a regular VPN client that I have tried in conjunction with this on other cpu and this before the problem and it seems to make no difference. On other computers I tried with and without the second VPN client running and it always connects just fine.

The clients are the same on all machines as are the versions of Opera. Three windows 10 and one Windows 7 Pro machine. Just this one machine has that issue.

I did an uninstall and reinstall of a prior version before last update but still no go.

Any ideas appreciated
