I'd like pop-ups not resizable and/or as tabs in the same window

A link may be requesting to be opened in a new window instead of a new tab, and it may even request to be resized (via JavaScript I guess).
I prefer to old behavior of Opera 12 where pop-ups were opened as new tabs in the same window. Or at least to keep the new windows from being (wrongly) resized by JavaScript. How to do that?
Version: 20.0.1387.82 - Opera is up to date
