      Hello all,

my problem with Opera on my laptop is that it has installed the Windows 7 version with the Windows 7 design at it altough my laptop runs on Windows 10. Re-installing hasn's worked by now. The awkward part is that on my Windows 10 desktop PC it has installed the windows 10 version. My Opera version is 39.0.2256.43.

I'm wondering, why the installer doesn't recognize my laptop as Win 10. Is there a way to install specifically the Win 10 Version of Opera?

      Greetings,
      Ray

        I have two questions:

        1. By Windows 7 design you mean that the controls and UI are 7-like (rounded corners etc.)?
        2. Can you please go to opera:flags and search for this flag: #windows-10-skin - is it enabled or disabled?
          Thanks.

Exactly, the round corners at the tabs of the windows 7 design for example.

The option #windows-10-skin is at "Standard(enabled)"

Ok, thanks, so there's another option: maybe, by a chance, you are running Opera in Windows 7 compatibility mode? Or earlier? In this case, you would have Opera menu, some buttons and tabs looking like Win7 but the system control buttons (upper right corner) specific for Win10.

Thank you! That was the problem! Don't ask me when or why I switched into compatibility mode. Thanks for the tip, I guess I would not have found that problem without it. Didn't cross my mind at all to look at the compatibility mode at all!
